Tracy Taylor is a husband, fire fighter, a father of four. Tracy Taylor works as a full time firefighter for the city of Albany,Ga. He entered politics in 2010 when he work for U.S. Congressmen Sanford Bishop campaign. Past political experiences, Mr. Taylor ran for county commissioner in 2013, ran for Mayor in 2015 , and also ran for house district seat 153 in 2018.
Currently he is the Vice Chairman of the community development council in Albany. With the help of other board members, Tracy has help provided hundreds of thousands of dollars of CDBG funds to local nonprofit organizations.
Mr. Taylor made history this year (2019) by becoming the first african american to chair the Dougherty county Republican party since reconstruction. Also he sits on Republican district 2 executive board. In August of 2019 Mr. Taylor ran for mayor for the city of Albany,Ga one more time. With his recent track record its easy to say that Mr. Taylor truly cares about his community!
Mr. Taylor is a certified fire fighter 2 and hazmat ops/awareness, certified expanded function duty dental assistant. He also has a associate degree in criminal justice and a associate degree in fire science technology.
